Transforming Kingdom Power
Jesus taught us to pray like this, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt6:10). As a child of God, this Kingdom is coming and developing within our hearts, souls, and minds every day. Jesus spoke this Truth to the Pharisees, who were looking to create an outward kingdom, through religious power and crooked politics, “The kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]” (Luke17:21)]. The Kingdom of God is not simply the hope of returning home, to live an eternity in Heaven. But while living on earth, this Kingdom is abiding in the realm of the Holy Spirit, and being filled with His righteousness, peace, and joy. This inner kingdom will affect our outer surroundings. We serve the Anointed One, by walking in the grace of His kingdom realities (Romans 14:17-18tPt). As children of the Kingdom of God,” we are a colony of heavenly citizens on earth, as we cling tightly to our Life-Giver, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform us into the identical likeness of his glorified body. And using his matchless power, he continually subdues everything to himself” (Philippians 3:20tPt). Did you hear that? God has promised to transform and fashion anew our inner man- the body of our humiliation- the Kingdom living within- and conform us to be like Him, by revealing His glory and majesty in and through us, and by exerting His powerful love that makes us willing to submit to His Way, Truth, and Light. Jesus Christ has the power to transform darkness into Light, a beast nature into a lamb’s nature, hate into love, ignorance into wisdom, fear into courage, sickness into health, pride into humility, selfishness into service, error into Truth. Lord Yahweh has given us underserved grace, while His sprinkled blood cries out for mercy! So, let us daily pray this very personal prayer: Dear Lord, through your mercy and grace, may Thy Kingdom come within me, and may Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus Name, AMEN
