Jesus Christ set in place salvation and power to be given to fallen mankind, through His death, burial, and resurrection. God told Adam and Eve (Adam’s race) to take dominion (Gen1:28). Through Jesus Christ, we have been given the power to take dominion, and humanity has been redeemed from the curse of death! One day God will restore creation to His original plan, and our planet will be under the rulership of men and women whose hearts are under the sovereignty of Christ (Hebrews2:8-9). Nonetheless, until that day comes, and the great deceiver and accuser of the brethren called Satan, and his fallen angels lose the battle to regain their place in heaven, and are cast out once and for all (Rev.12:8-9), the spiritual battle will continue to rage on and move forward.
We are living in the last days, which started with Pentecost and will continue until Jesus returns. Jesus speaks of the last days, “And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error. And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity” (Matthew 24:11-12). Paul said that in the last days perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear] will come. People will be utterly self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by greed, proud and arrogant. They will be abusive, blasphemous, ungrateful, unholy and profane. They will become belligerent haters of what is good and right. They will be callous and inhuman, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. Having a form of religion or pretended respect to God, but in reality, they want nothing to do with God’s power (11Tim3:1-5). We would have to agree – this sounds like the days we are living.
Today, many Christians feel overwhelmed, helpless, and afraid of these times we are living in. But, there is no reason for that, because our Lord has given us the gifts of His Holy Spirit, grace to triumph and overcome evil with good, the Word of God to guide us, and His powerful love that will transform us into Oneness with Him, as He comes close to perfect the “Bride of Christ” into His beautiful likeness. Jesus is the one who constantly loves us and has loosed us from our sins by his own blood, and made us to rule as a kingly priesthood to serve his God and Father-to him be glory and dominion throughout the eternity or eternities! Amen! (Rev1:5-6) God will always have a remnant of those who love Him, even in the darkest of days!
Jesus told his disciples to watch and pray, because the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak (Mark14:38). We are told in the old testament, “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land”(11Chronicles7:14).We are also told, to be happy in our faith and rejoice and be glad-hearted, and persevere in prayer(1Thes5:16-17). Prayer has the power to keep us stepping forward, even while the battle rages! Not only does believing and travailing prayer effect the people and circumstances we are praying for, but prayer also changes the one that prays. The weapons of our warfare (which includes prayer) are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind demonic strongholds of the enemy(2corinth10:3-4). “Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times” (Eph6:18). Then, last but not least Jesus said, “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, to show that you are the children of your Father Who is in heaven” (Matt5:44).
As members of one body, let us unite in the love of God and not become discouraged or yield to fear during the trying days we are living. Let us open our heart to the Holy Spirit and remain faithful and cling tightly to the One, who has the power to bring the victory! The prayer of God’s holy lovers is a sweet fragrance of incense that rises into the Throne room, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!(James5:16) “Praise, honor, glory, and dominion be to God-Enthroned and to Christ the Lamb forever and ever!”(Rev5:13).
