We are all born with the desire to be accepted, understood, and listened to. The blessing of being born into a loving family who unconditionally loves, believes in, and listens to us is a priceless gift. In stark contrast to this, there are many, many, who are born into families where love does not live. Because of this they were never listened to, or able to comprehend the great personal value which God has for their life. To feel ignored wounds the heart immensely, making it a challenge to trust people or God. When we cannot trust that a loving God is listening, slowly but surely we become imprisoned to negative feelings of victimization, exasperation, and hurt. Yet Jesus longs to bring healing to all; helping all recognize and believe they are valuable and that He is listening to every word sighed to Him….whether in gladness, sadness, anger, or fear. Sometimes, when we cannot believe that God listens; He sends a caring teacher, pastor, counselor, or friend; not to judge, but to listen, love, and help each soul to discover the Truth of who they are….God’s precious child! As our faith grows and our heart heals, we begin to believe that we can trust some people, and subsequently trust there is a loving, caring, God who is listening!
“The Lord listens and heeds when I call to Him”(Psalm 4:3b).
“Listen to my words, O Lord, give heed to my sighing and groaning”(Psalm 5:1).
“Yes, I know You always hear and listen to Me”(John11:42a).
