In the Bible the Lord compares His children to sheep because we share many similarities, especially the being afraid part. Fear is a common thread that touches all of our lives, regardless of our spiritual maturity. We often transfer our past fears and fears of the future onto today. Then we struggle with the torment this fear brings, and there seems no escape from its dominating presence. Fear, the opposite of love, is Satan’s greatest tool to keep us from experiencing the freedom of walking in God’s Kingdom. Yes, fear is powerful, but Love is more powerful! Because of this love, our God takes pleasure in taking our fears and teaching us to abide with Him in the kingdom. So, what is the kingdom? It’s when we know God accepts us and desires to give us heart peace and joy, while living in this up and down world. It is when we know His love is bigger than our fears. In my book, reading # 6, I have shared simple steps of how I pour out my fear. Again, the preview of “Pour Out Your Heart”, at amazon.com includes reading #6, if you don’t have a copy of the book. Are you burdened with fear? Run to Jesus and “fear not”. It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom too! Trust the process, and you will find the One who gives acceptance, peace, and joy to His much-loved sheep!
“Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
The kingdom of God is not food and drink, but instead it is righteousness [that state which makes a person acceptable to God] and peace and joy [heart] in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).
