Naturally, none of us wants to suffer! But we would have to agree that while we live in this imperfect world, there will be seasons of suffering. God has such enormous love for us, but sometimes when we struggle in life’s circumstances, this is hard to believe. Whether our suffering is a result of a bad choice we’ve made or from circumstances completely out of our hands, it is God’s plan to use the pain suffering brings, not to destroy us; But as a tool “ to complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you”. In other words, God will use suffering to bring us close to Him, giving Him another opportunity to reveal who He really is: THE GREAT I AM, THE SAVIOR, LOVE, THE WAY MAKER, THE HEALER, THE PROVIDER, OUR ROCK, OUR STRENGTH, OUR HOPE and THE MOST POWERFUL FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE! Many times God uses suffering to bring people closer together, as we learn how to love, support, help, and care for one another more. We don’t need to be afraid when suffering enters our lives; because Jesus is able to transform our pain into joy, as we evolve through the spiritual process of growing! The negative forces of Satan work to use suffering to destroy lives (evil), but God wants to bring good out of what we suffer! So when we enter a season of suffering, let us remember it is safe to surrender and abandon our lives to the workings of God, because God has the ability to bring good things out of suffering.
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [who imparts all blessing and favor], who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you’ (1Peter 5:10).
