We all want to be stable, calm, and steady when pressure, stress, or anxiety enter our lives. But even our best made  intentions to walk in stability can come to a screeching halt when adversity bursts on the scene- our buttons get hit-and we negatively act out our anger, hurts, or fears. But God gives us a plan so we don’t have to react and be controlled by the fear of living life in our changing, unstable circumstances. He tells us to “dwell in the secret place of the Most High.” This means to reside in a dependent,personal, ongoing relationship with the Lord. The secret place is a spiritual home for our hearts, a place where God’s Spirit lives inside; Where we are loved, understood, and accepted, in spite of our failures. In the secret place, God’s powerful healing and unconditional love is more powerful than any adversity or adversary that attempts to pull us toward instability. So lets’ remember when chaos, pressure, or stress arrives and we get pulled out of His peace and pulled into the uncertainties of this world; That God has everything in His Hands, and because of this we can turn away from the control fear has on us, while discovering fixed stability under the shadow of the Almighty, whose power no foe can withstand.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no foe can withstand]”(Psalm 91:1).
