The world is saturated with skepticism, agnosticism, and atheism. Many who practice simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are vilified as ignorant, and uninformed. But the truth that God is still available today to perform works of power in our lives is a reality! When it comes to faith, all believers are at various stages of confidence in the belief that God will intimately be involved, and work miracles in our present day. Many Christians believe, welcoming and accepting with joy God’s promises, but when delay, affliction or troubles come, they stumble and begin to distrust and pull away from belief in Him. When a kernel of corn is planted it takes time, sunshine, and rain to develop that seed into an ear of corn. Our faith grows and matures in a similar fashion; it takes time to mature into consistent belief. It is God’s will that our faith grows as we continue to hear and hold on to His promises. Then, in time, we will be able to truly believe and receive all that God has for us.

“And He did not do many works of power there, because of their unbelief [lack of faith in the divine mission of Jesus]”(Matthew13:58).
