As God’s blood bought children, the Holy Spirit invites us to be transformed by the Light that flows from Jesus Christ, to be set apart for the Master’s high calling of love and service. God has blessed his children with the Holy Spirit to equip, empower, and move us forward into our assigned destiny. Yet, as we aspire to press on in our calling of faith, hope, and love, we soon discover that our spiritual Enemy, and the weakness of our flesh are battling against this calling. The battle is on, in order to pull our soul into unmitigated conflict, and get our focus off the Lord Jesus- Who is the Power that enables us to spiritually move forward into our God ordained destiny.
There will be times that we feel the Presence of Lord Yahweh’s love, strength, and power graciously and joyfully pushing us forward into the revelation of His Word, and onto the straight and narrow path that leads to Life and peace. But there will be other times that we find our soul cast down, our focus pulled off the Savior, because of disturbing challenges and unexpected attacks sent from the enemy’s camp. During times of attack, we might be tempted to let down our total dependence on the Word of God, and give in to our weak flesh. “But since we belong to the day, we must stay alert and clearheaded by placing the breastplate of faith and love over our hearts, and a helmet of the hope of salvation over our thoughts (1Thess5:5tPt). When hardship challenges our faith, we must remember that Jesus is close, even in painful situations, He will feel the pain with you- you are not alone! During these trying times, He will reveal His faithfulness to you in a greater way, and help you draw near and fellowship with Him, through the hard times! “For my determined purpose is that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness] even to His death (Phil3:10amp).
In spite of the Enemy and our weaknesses, our God is always Faithful to His children, and we can count on Him to continue the love work He began in our hearts and minds- Praise His beautiful Name! We are His workmanship, and He that began a good work in us will continue to reveal the Truth, while transforming our lives into His beautiful likeness! “And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ, developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you” (Phil1:6amp).
God’s children can count on the good Father to correct (if needed), and draw us, by revealing His powerful love and Truth! As we choose to follow, obey, surrender, love and adore Him more – we will gradually experience the gentle and faithful overcoming Power and purposes that Lord Yahweh has planned for His blood bought and beloved children! The joy of the Lord will grow within our hearts and become our strength, as we walk in the “peace that passes understanding”. This is the Victory and freedom that Jesus Christ bought for His beloved Ones!
