Just like the leper, some of us have seen and heard of Jesus’ mighty power and grace to heal. We believe He has the authority and ability to bring us wholeness, but at the same time we doubt whether He is willing to help us. Our skepticism speaks: ‘Why would He help Me? I don’t deserve healing. It is His will for me to stay the same and not move forward’. And our hearts plunge deeper into more uncertainty.
Yet the words, “I am willing,” which Jesus spoke to the leper, still ring true today for those of us in need of His touch. Actually, one of God’s names in the Scriptures is I AM, and I AM is willing to meet each if us at our point of need. While walking this earth, Jesus never turned away anyone who believed and came to Him for help and healing.
Trust the process and keep turning to Jesus to restore you to well-being, because He is willing!
“And behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me.’ And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed by being cured.’ And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed” (Matthew 8:2-3).
