Fear is the negative force that Satan uses to hinder us from discovering the purposeful, positive, and productive course that God has planned for each of us. Many times we don’t recognize it is fear that motivates our thoughts, words, choices, and actions- or our lack of words, choices, and actions. God gives us His life giving Truth that proclaims – Love is the powerful, positive force that displaces fear, because fear is the opposite of love. It is God’s desire to bring us to a place where our thoughts, words, choices, and actions are motivated by truth and love.
Truth teaches that we are unconditionally loved by God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and this great salvation annihilates the effects of the intimidating accuser’s torment. Therefore, we don’t have to be afraid of the enemy’s accusations, for we are united to the Anointed One through love. Love teaches that even when we are afraid in our circumstances, we can choose to walk towards Jesus. We don’t have to get pulled deeper into the fear or worried about a thing. We must be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering our faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell Him every detail of your life, then in time- God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will make the answers known to you through Jesus Christ.
As we grow in God’s love and our hearts become one with Him, we will experience greater contentment and peace, regardless of our earthly lot. Then the fear that torments us on this earth will lose its power. Love creates peace, which guards our hearts and minds from the fearful attacks of Satan. The positive energy in love is more powerful than the negative energy in evil and fear. So don’t fret or be anxious about life, because we are in the hands of a God who loves us more than we can comprehend.
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition [definite requests], with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
