The Bible tells us that learning to endure, through the challenges of life is a part of our on-going walk of faith. Life on earth is a school, and Father God is the Head Master, Jesus Christ is our advocate, and the Holy Spirit is our teacher. Because of this, we are never alone! God’s support, help, and grace is always available and listening to the cries of our hearts! It is ordained by God that we learn His Truth experientially, as we press on in the perfection of our faith, and step forward into our God given destiny!
Now, this doesn’t mean that we will not sometime “feel” the struggle, but through the struggle, we will be able to hear, listen, and yield to what the Holy Spirit is speaking to our hearts! When we are forced to bear with, tolerate, stand against, or put up with something or someone trying – it is God’s will to work His overcoming endurance into our hearts. Endurance is not something that is likable or pleasant, but as we continue on with Jesus, we will begin to understand that this hard place, we have come upon in our lives has a purpose, and we will not be staying in this place forever. Through the challenge, we will not be destroyed, nor will we become depressed, but we will be transported into a deeper love relationship with the faithful Lord Jesus, and be given a greater portion of “His peace that passes understanding”, and be filled with the fullness of “unspeakable joy full of His glory”. “He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me (Psalm18:19amp). “His love broke open the way and he brought me into a beautiful broad place” (Psalm18:19tPt).
Because Jesus Christ paid for our sins with His blood on the cross, we are accepted by and pleasing to God the Father! Jesus endured great suffering on the cross to pay for our salvation. He endured the cross, while and despising the shame, because He knew we would be his beloved ones. “We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was filled with the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! (Hebrews12:2tPt)
“So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls, so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s enduring pressures, forgetting your destiny” (Hebrews12:3tPt).
