It’s not always easy to believe that God is in the process of bestowing His goodness on us, especially during prolonged, difficult, demanding situations. Often the unhealed wounds of our hearts will give openings to the Enemy, as our mind is bombarded with thoughts of negativity and fear. Darkness speaks… life will never change for the better…it has always been hard… it will always be hard. This negativity is an attempt to challenge our faith, and the truth of God’s faithful love toward us. Yet the Lord desires to meet us at our point of need, and help; by giving us His amazing grace which will see us through the challenges we face. But God’s timing and ways are very different from our timing and ways. God has higher thoughts and intentions for us, because He desires to move us forward emotionally, and spiritually. Many times, when life hurts, it is hard for us to see the bigger picture, purposes, and plans that He is working into our lives. Even so, we do not have to wait until we go to heaven to find the Lord’s goodness! He wants us to discover who He really is on this earth so that we are able to accept, as true, His kindness, honesty, and reliability. The Lord desires to help us in our quest to lean, rely, and trust in His enduring faithfulness. Belief in God’s goodness is a powerful weapon that will grace us with His strength to endure and overcome the challenges we face in life.

[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!” (Psalm 27:13).
