Many people believe the physical world is the only reality, and the spiritual world is “far-fetched fiction”, and not actually real or influential in mankind’s history or future. Yet, at times, even the most hardened skeptic must partially recognize the existence of a spiritual Enemy in this world that seeks to defeat God’s plans and people. The simple synopsis of what Satan uses to defeat God’s people and circumstances is lies (he is the father of lies) and fear, which generates instability, depression, confusion, self-pity, negativism, jealousy, selfishness, torment, confusion and chaos.
Satan’s tactic of depression is designed to keep us bound in negative feelings, such as anger, sadness, self-hate, self-pity (etc.), and blind us from seeing the truth about Lord Yahweh the all-wise God, who is on our side, and is for us…. not against us. Through Jesus Name, Logos, and Holy Spirit we have been gifted with the power to overcome the Enemy. Jesus understands our hearts and souls, and He is not shocked by our weakness and negativity. His love is big enough to take all of it, and replace our souls’ oozing wounds, with the Holy Spirit’s healing power! Satan’s demons feed off the wounds of our souls. As we learn how to surrender and let go of the deeply entrenched triggers, patterns, and emotions onto Him – Jesus Christ of Nazareth our Savior, will also become our Deliverer and Healer!
Satan also uses the feelings of helplessness to convince us that we are unprotected and unable to provide an adequate defense against his unrestrained attacks. Of course, this is all a lie that is designed to keep us bound in fear, defeat our faith, and spiritual growth. The truth that Jesus has already overcome Satan on the cross makes us victorious, and God’s true spiritual children will stand in the assurance of Satan’s complete defeat. We don’t deny that we have problems sent and influenced by the Enemy; we simply deny Satan’s power over our divine right in Christ to defeat him in our lives. When the enemy of our soul floods into our lives with negative power, we must remember that God is the greater spiritual power that will raise up a standard against him!
Fear is the main tactic Satan uses to thwart us from being able to rest in, rely on, and trust in God’s help and deliverance from his evil designs. Fear’s intention is to paralyze us and hinder our soul from moving forward to a better emotional and larger spiritual place. But God has given us weapons that will overcome the evil one’s intentions- all the power that is in Jesus’ name! We must pour out our fear onto Jesus, during prayer and press it into His nail scarred hand. However, there are times when the bombarding fears have such a stronghold in our hearts and minds that we cannot release and find relief from them. That’s when we hold Jesus’ powerful hand of love, the nail scarred hand, which poured out His blood, so He could release us from the torment fear brings. We can push the enemy back using the Name of Jesus, as the Powerful Christ walks with us, holding our hand like a good Daddy, loving us through our fears. GOD’S LOVE IS THE POWER THAT IS GREATER THAN FEAR, and God’s love is the power that pushes fear out of our hearts and minds, while liberating us from getting stuck in Satan’s lies. Satan will be defeated through a surrendered, growing, and loving relationship with Yeshua! Love Never Fails!
As the Enemy comes in like a flood, we are promised that the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight. When we continue to stand on this promise, the Enemy will be put in his place of defeat when our Lord’s Mighty Spirit rushes in like a mighty stream. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, we have a certain and overcoming victory that will fulfill the destiny we are ordained to walk-in
“The glory and the name of Yahweh will be held in highest reverence, for he will break in as a flooding, rushing river driven on by the breath of Yahweh!”
“When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight!” Isaiah59:19b
