Jesus Christ came into the world to be our Redeemer and breathe the Spirit of Life into us. The Holy Spirit is the powerful Helper, who will progressively teach us how to love God with our whole heart, soul and mind, and to love others as we love ourselves. In order to purely love ourselves and others, we must humble ourselves, recognize the work of God’s grace, and believe and receive God’s full forgiveness, total acceptance, and unconditional personal love. Jesus said, “God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it” (John 3:16tPt)! If deep within our heart, we continue to believe that God wants to condemn us instead of forgive, love, and receive us as sons and daughters of God, we will find ourselves to be condemning and unloving towards ourselves and others. Especially when we or others have fallen short!
As we would all agree, life on planet earth can sometimes be a challenge. We all have heart wounds that were caused by a vast array of different types of situations and circumstances, such as: being rejected, being misunderstood, experiencing loss, disappointments, not being loved by those you needed, sickness, and all emotional, verbal, physical, or sexual abuse. Many times when we have been involved in these negative experiences, we begin to believe lies about ourselves, such as: I deserve bad things to happen to me, I should be punished, God must hate me, I must disgust God, God must be disappointed in me, I’m not good enough, I am a bad person, I hate myself, I’m a loser, I can’t do anything right, etc. Satan uses demonic, negative self-talk to try to keep us from discovering who we really are in Christ, and who God created us to be through our Redeemer. God’s good plans and eternal destiny will follow all of His blood bought children, until the covenant is fulfilled.
But in the middle of our soul’s pain and sorrow Jesus calls- Come unto Me! Jesus wants to preach the good news of the Gospel to the poor, announce emotional release to the captives from the negative thoughts and beliefs, recovery of sight to the spiritually blind, deliverance for those who are oppressed and downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by various calamities.
God’s love is the greatest Power in the Universe! The Power of God’s love can bring healing to all! The anointed One, Jesus Christ the Messiah, the King of Kings, the Great I AM, the lover of your soul offers you the Truth of who you really are- His beloved child! His love is the powerful energy that will gradually set us free to love and forgive ourselves the way He does.
Then we will be able to stop projecting the negative thoughts about ourselves, or the negative things we fear we have done or might do, onto others. As we begin to look at ourselves in the Light of God’s love, we will begin to learn how to love others too. This is one of our missions while here on earth- to learn how to love one another through the power of the Holy Spirit’s truth, patience, compassion, and energy.
Gradually, layer by layer, the Lord works on repairing the wounds of our broken hearts with His Truth, love and peace. The miracle of healing begins to take place as we release the negative, we still believe about ourselves onto the loving Lord through heart felt prayer. His loving power will push out the negative and replace it with His powerful healing Truth and Love. As we grow into a deeper, fuller, relationship with Lord Yahweh, we will increasingly depend and count on His love and faithfulness to take our soul, mind, and spirit, to a place of contentment where abundant life in Christ is discovered and embraced.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds
[curing their pains and their sorrows]
” (Psalm147:3amp).
“The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor: He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity]. To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound” (Luke 4:18-19amp). f
