Sometimes life is hard! Whether the trouble we are experiencing is an on-going challenge that we just can’t seem to work through, or a new problem or loss in our job, family, friendships, finances, health, or changing circumstances that discourages our soul, we then pray and attempt to fix what’s broken. While at the same time, Satan endeavors to bring us down and thwart us from leaning, relying and trusting in Jesus for strength and stability. Even though our struggles, efforts and situations feel so wrong, we continue on, trying to trust God! Then, the Enemy of our soul, who is ‘the Liar’ puts dread into our hearts and negatively proclaims- “your life is never going to get better, and inner or outer positive change is beyond your reach”. If we embrace the sadness or self-pity these negative thought patterns from the pit generate – the enemy of our soul will escort us further down, into feeling afraid, overwhelmed, and hopeless about our life situation and future. This is the path that leads to emotional and spiritual defeat.
Quite the opposite is God’s plan for our path to overcoming victory! We must set our hearts on Him, and believe [lean on, rely on and confidently trust] in the promises of the Logos, and embrace the Lord’s goodness, kindness, and tender mercy towards us. We must recognize the truth that our God stands beside us and is the Hero who rescues us. By Yahweh’s supernatural power and grace, we can overcome! The Lord will help us triumph, because He is our true inner strength, our Champion, and our Savior. We will experience victory, because our God is a Valiant Warrior, who is praying for us constantly. The power of God will lift us high! The power of God will never fail! These positive truths and beliefs will help encourage our hearts and stabilize our faith! Jesus is the Light that burst through the gloom! He loves us unconditionally, more than we can comprehend, and He is always working out goodness towards us.
God’s Logos promises to us are the ‘Living Expression’ of His Light, Love, and Truth. Jesus gave his life, as a light for all humanity to embrace, and discover who He really is- the Savior that is the lover of our soul! We can always count on His honesty and faithfulness to fulfill what He said He will do for us. Those who embrace him and take hold of his Name have the authority to become who we really are- the sons and daughters of God! So be brave and hold on with good courage during the hard times and believe. He will liberate us! Even though we cannot comprehend or figure out how life is going to work out, we must wait and hope and expect the Lord to do His majestic work in our lives- not forgetting our destiny. Then, while we are waiting, hoping, and expecting the Lord to help us, He will lift us up to the spiritual place where negativity is defeated and positive Truth and praise is embraced and manifested- We will believe and “we will see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living”.
“Yet, I totally trust you to rescue me one more time, so that I can see once again how good you are while I’m still alive! Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up, don’t be impatient, be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave, courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting- For he will never disappoint you!” (Psalm27:13-13tPt)
[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. f
