The spirit of antichrist is prevalent and common in our world today. The goal of this spirit is to tear down and ridicule, to present God’s love and sacrificial atonement phony, as well as unnecessary, and to portray Jesus Christ as a condemning, narrow minded figure who is out- of- step with the needs of struggling mankind.
However, the accusations of the spirit of antichrist could not be any further from the truth. The Truth is God loves and cherishes the people of the world so much that Jesus Christ came down in the form of a baby and grew to a man in order to fulfill the needed requirement for sinless flesh and blood to be given to pay for mankind’s sin. This is how much God loved the world-he gave his uniquely conceived Son as a gift. There is not a person on earth that has not transgressed because we all fall short and make mistakes. But because of Jesus Christ unselfish love our sins can be forgiven through faith. When we believe, trusts in, cling to, and rely on Him we do not have to pay the price of our sins because He has already done that for us and has promised an unending life and oneness with Him. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.
Jesus Christ did not come into the world to critic, discard, eliminate, refuse, condemn or reject anyone but He came to offer deliverance, rescue, recovery and escape from spiritual death and darkness. God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it! So now there is no longer any condemnation for those who believe in Him, and we can be eternally secure in His love. Jesus tenderly calls us to come to Him, accept His payment for our sin, surrender our hearts to Him as He offers the gift of the Holy Spirit, and makes all things new, whole, and complete in this life and in the life to come. Because of this great salvation, we have been made safe and sound through Him!
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
