When Jesus was born in a stable at Bethlehem the shepherds came and worshipped Him, and the star of wonder guided wise men to bring gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to the newborn King. But when Jesus gave His life on the cross for mankind’s sin, all but a few ran away from the suffering Savior. In spite of intense emotional pain, Mary, the mother of Jesus, and John, the beloved disciple, chose to come near Jesus, as He suffered on the cross. When they came close to Jesus’ pain, Mary…..
When Jesus entered Gethsemane, Satan violently attacked Him. The adversary struck Jesus vehemently, using the aggressive demons of terror and fear in an attempt to stop Jesus’ sacrificial offering. In the garden, the Lord cautioned His disciples about their weakness and the tempter’s power. Then He counseled them and showed them by example how to overcome the Enemy’s persuasion using the weapon of “crying out prayer” from the heart. Even so, the disciples slept, both physically and spiritually, as Jesus…..
“[Such is my disappointment in you, the friends I fully trusted.]The caravans of Tema looked [for water], the companies of Sheba waited for them in vain. They were confounded because they had hoped [to find water]; they came there and were bitterly disappointed. Now to me you are [like a dried up brook]: you see my dismay and terror, and [believing me to be a victim of God’s anger] you are afraid [to sympathize with me]” (Job 6:18b-20). We can…..

In the New Testament Jesus affirms, with love and power, a pure and simple “I AM.” Furthermore, God yearns for us to individually experience Him as “I AM” in accordance with our needs. In other words, what do you need? Do you need a Savior, to take away your guilt and shame? “I AM.” Do you need financial help? “I AM.”…..
The spiritual world is as real as the physical world that we see, touch, and experience. In the spiritual realm, there are on-going battles that affect, stimulate, and achieve outcome in the physical world. God gave David the wisdom to understand that his inner and outer man would find victory over conflicts and encounters through the Lord’s powerful ability to fight darkness and maintain dominion in spiritual spheres. In desperation David cried out to the Lord for help, and as…..

He offers Himself as the way out for struggling human beings to find rest, even as they are living in a stressful world. When we have labored long and feel physically or mentally exhausted, His gentle call is “Come to me, I will help you find relief.” Because of His great love, the Lord is always intimately concerned about the state of our minds…..
